2022 Here We Come!

The start of a New Year always brings excitement and optimism, with a sense of a fresh start. Now that we’re getting back into the swing of things with in-person events returning to the roofing industry, I can’t help but look ahead just a little bit and see the 2022 International Roofing Expo (IRE) in New Orleans on the horizon.

There will be so many exciting things happening at this much-anticipated show, but there are two, in particular, that I’m looking forward to and can’t stop thinking about. So I’m going to share them.

Two exciting things happening at IRE:

Reid Ribble as Keynote Speaker!

If you haven’t heard Reid Ribble, CEO of the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), speak before — or even if you have — you don’t want to miss this one. Reid spent over 30 years running his own family-owned roofing company back in Wisconsin before he served six years in the U.S. House of Representatives. Reid has spoken at Best of Success for several years and always leaves the crowd enlightened, inspired, and moved to a standing ovation. Reid is an incredibly powerful speaker and advocate for the roofing industry. He’s also flirting with retirement, so that’s another reason why you don’t want to miss hearing what he has to say. Reid has become a personal friend over the years and you can count on seeing me and the RC team there, too.

"Is 2020 going to mark the end of human contact in the roofing sales and estimating fields? I doubt that. There’s still a lot of value to relationships, and face-to-face is difficult to beat, even with today’s technologies."

Celebrating Five Years of Empowerment

Here we go! The New Year is upon us and there’s exciting opportunities ahead of us, especially for women in the roofing industry. If you haven’t been to National Women in Roofing (NWiR) Day before at the IRE, then now is the time to check it out! It’s hard to believe it’s already been five years, but this is their fifth annual event on Jan. 30, the day before the opening of the show in New Orleans.

Organizers are expecting about 300 women to attend and benefit from a packed schedule with networking, education, and breakout sessions for women of all professional levels. Most importantly, it’s empowering to be with a group of like-minded peers discussing ideas to take back and implement at your own company. If you’re looking to build relationships, you’ll meet some incredible women in the industry who can provide mentorship and help shape your career. There’s so much to learn and everyone involved with NWiR is very generous with their time!

Here’s how to register: https://www.theroofingexpo.com/en/register.html
While you’re at NWiR Day you should stick around for IRE! See you in NOLA!
