Secure Start® Permeable by Malarkey Roofing Products is one of its highest performing underlayments. It is a multilayer reinforced synthetic underlayment for shingles, tile, wood and metal roofs with enhanced performance. It lays flat without curling, is more resistant to tearing than felt when walked on and is coated top and bottom with tough polyolefin for superior weather resistance with a slip‐resistant surface. Each 4-foot-wide roll contains 1,000 square feet of Stormtite and weighs just 21.5 pounds. Rolls are printed with dashed lines every 2 inches with bold dots at recommended fastener areas to assist with application. Garland’s R-Mer Seal self-adhering, high-temp metal roofing underlayment forms a flexible, watertight seal under Garland metal roof systems even in high temperature roof conditions. Its flexible membrane, formulated with high-temperature rubberized asphalt, boasts excellent elongation capabilities and tensile strength to accommodate the expansion and contraction of a roof surface. R-Mer Seal’s peel-and-stick application is fast and easy and its cross-laminated polymer film provides an excellent slip-resistant surface for installers. For use on slopes 2:12 and higher.

Duro-Last® Vapor Barrier is a self-adhesive vapor barrier composed of SBS modified bitumen adhesive on the bottom surface and a tri-laminated woven polyethylene on the top surface. A silicone release film covers the self-adhesive on the bottom surface. While designed as an underlayment to minimize vapor transmission, the Duro-Last Vapor Barrier can also provide a durable, walkable, temporary surface that protects the decking for up to four months until a roofing system can be installed.

Surround VR synthetic underlayment provides the optimal balance of high performance, enhanced safety and streamlined installation for new construction and reroofing projects. Surround VR is 10 times stronger and seven times lighter than traditional 30# felt, but has five times more material per roll. Surround VR does not absorb moisture, won’t warp or buckle when wet.

GAF Deck-Armor™ roof deck protection is a breathable, synthetic underlayment designed to serve as a secondary layer of protection against wind-driven rain infiltration. This premium underlayment combines excellent walkability, tear-resistance, and breathability, which helps reduce damaging moisture that may become trapped in the roofing system. The lightweight 48-inch (1.22-meter) wide roll provides fast installation, with more coverage per course than traditional 36-inch wide felts. While GAF Deck-Armor roof deck protection is primarily used under asphalt shingle roof systems, it may also be used under other roofing systems, such as metal, slate, wood, or tile.
