AeroNet

Benjamin Obdyke

Benjamin Obdyke introduced AeroNet, a ventilation mat designed to improve drainage and airflow behind roofing and siding assemblies to help protect against moisture intrusion.

The lightweight, flexible product combines the ease of installation associated with rolled rainscreen systems with the compression resistance of grid-style products. AeroNet creates a consistent air gap behind cladding materials, supporting drying and reducing the risk of trapped moisture within the building envelope.

The system installs on both walls and roofs, eliminating the need for separate products and reducing material and labor requirements. It also removes the need for furring strips, streamlining installation and lowering project time.

AeroNet is compatible with a range of cladding materials and is designed for use with metal, composite, and cedar roofing systems. Its compression resistance helps maintain airflow space under load, supporting long-term performance in various applications.

TurboShear Rotary Panel Cutter

Malco

Malco introduced the TurboShear Rotary Panel Cutter, a power tool designed for cutting ribbed roofing and wall panels with precision and efficiency.

The cutter features dual opposing cutting wheels that allow the tool to self-advance through metal and vinyl materials, producing clean and consistent cuts. It has a cutting capacity of up to 22-gauge material, supporting use in a range of roofing and siding applications.

Designed for professional use, the tool is intended to improve accuracy and reduce effort when working with ribbed panels, including detailed or repetitive cuts on job sites.

The TurboShear Rotary Panel Cutter received a “Top Product Award” at METALCON 2025, recognizing its performance and functionality within the metal construction industry.

VADA Vented Roof Systems and SWIF Rack Commercial Solar Racking

Duro-Last

Duro-Last introduced two new systems—VADA Vented Roof Systems and SWIF Rack Commercial Solar Racking—through its national contractor network, expanding its offerings for wind resilience and rooftop solar integration.

The VADA Vented Roof System is designed to improve wind uplift resistance by addressing pressure differentials at the roof perimeter rather than increasing field attachment. The system is compatible with Duro-Last PVC and Duro-Tech TPO membranes and is intended to enhance performance in high-wind conditions.

The SWIF Rack system is engineered to support rooftop solar installations while preserving roof performance and accessibility. Using a stanchion-based attachment that connects through the roof assembly into the building structure, the system elevates solar arrays above the membrane. This design helps reduce membrane wear, prevent compression damage, and maintain access for maintenance and repairs.

The system also supports serviceability by allowing roof work, including replacement, without removing solar panels. Together, the two systems reflect a focus on integrated roof design, durability, and long-term performance in commercial applications.
