CERANOVUS A Series Polymer Additive

GreenMantra Technologies

GreenMantra Technologies introduced the CERANOVUS A Series, a polymer additive designed to partially replace styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) in asphalt roofing formulations.

Made from recycled ground tire rubber and waste plastics, the additive is intended to improve performance while supporting sustainability goals. It increases softening point for better high-temperature stability, reduces penetration to enhance stiffness, and maintains flexibility in cold conditions.
CERANOVUS A also improves manufacturing efficiency by lowering viscosity by up to 65%—which can enable faster production speeds and reduced energy use. Mixing times may be reduced, and adhesion to substrates such as plywood decking is improved compared to standard formulations.
The additive is made from 100% recycled content and may contribute to LEED certification credits. It is suitable for use in modified bitumen membranes, roofing shingles, and peel-and-stick underlayments, where it can enhance durability, thermal stability, and handling performance.

FiberSeal Base

Fluid Applied Roofing

FiberSeal Base by Fluid Applied Roofing is a proprietary, fiber-reinforced, sprayable material designed to replace traditional seam tape and polyester fabric in commercial roof restoration. The system creates a monolithic, fluid-applied membrane intended to simplify waterproofing and reduce installation time.

By eliminating multiple application steps, the product reduces the risk of installation errors associated with fabric-based methods and increases application speed. The material is designed to improve durability and leak resistance in roof preservation projects.

FAR also introduced expanded use for FiberSeal Base as a wall coating, broadening its application beyond roofing systems. The product is positioned to support contractor efficiency through lower labor requirements and improved project margins, while offering building owners a longer-lasting, waterproof solution. The company is increasing manufacturing capacity to meet growing demand for fluid-applied roofing systems. Fluid Applied Roofing (FAR) reported that its FiberSeal Base product received a second consecutive industry “People’s Choice Award” in the coatings, caulks, and sealants category.
