Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. unveiled its latest breakthrough product – PolyVap SA S. Engineered for superior performance in commercial low-slope roofing applications, PolyVap SA S sets a new standard with its exceptional dual-functionality as a high-performance air and vapor barrier. PolyVap SA S features a high-strength polypropylene sheet with an aggressive acrylic-based adhesive on the bottom, ensuring a bond with most substrates. This carrierless membrane is surfaced with a slip-resistant top surface to enhance walkability and can serve as a temporary roof for up to 180 days. Its top surface is compatible with approved coverboards and Polytherm insulation, allowing for mechanical attachment or adhesion with Polyglass LRF CR (low-rise foam) adhesive.

PrimeSource Building Products, which produces the Grip-Rite brand, said its ProWrap line includes three high-performance products. Grip-Rite ProWrap SA is a self-adhering house wrap rated for residential and commercial applications. The company says it stands out in the market for its “high breathability, labor-saving application, and economical cost for a premium product.” ProWrap products also include Grip-Rite ProWrap Butyl Flashing Tapes. Available in standard and Flex versions, these butyl-adhesion flashing tapes “are perfect for straight lines and curved surfaces; they meet stringent industry standards, resist strong winds, reduce drafts and water leaks, and remain flexible” at low temperatures.

Brava Roof Tile has introduced the updated Slate Roof Tile profile, redesigning the brand’s composite tile. The brand’s latest addition, a 2.0 version of the Slate Roof Tile, represents an upgrade to the existing composite slate tile with a distinct focus on the redesigned edge. Unlike the original tile’s manicured edge, the updated tile introduces a more authentic and natural appearance. Crafted from recycled plastics and sustainable resources, the Slate Roof Tile has a Class 4 impact rating and Class A or C fire ratings. Like its predecessor, its 1-inch thick profile enhances roof aesthetics while being lighter than natural slate, simplifying installation and reducing transport costs.

The Garland Company announced the addition of the newest KEE-Stone family of thermoplastic roofing membranes: KEE-Stone HP. This membrane incorporates one of the industry's highest-quality ketone ethylene esters, Elvaloy HP, for superior flexibility, strength, and chemical and UV resistance. KEE-Stone HP is a fleece-backed thermoplastic membrane designed as the cap sheet in a multi-ply hybrid system incorporating Garland-approved modified bitumen base sheets. KEE-Stone HP meets and exceeds the ASTM D6754 certification, the standard specification for KEE-based sheet roofing. Garland is the sole ASTM D6754 manufacturer harnessing the power of the HP Elvaloy polymer in its formulation. KEE-Stone HP contains a novel blend of fire retardants, providing superior fire resistance, achieving a 3:12 Class A fire rating for a non-combustible deck and a 2:12 Class A fire rating for a combustible deck in a hybrid assembly.

WEATHER GUARD has introduced the next advancements in truck box security. Westlake Royal Building Products announced the launch of Royal WoodTone Styles, blending rich wood looks with the rustic warmth of beadboard trim made of cellular PVC for porch ceilings and soffit applications. The new product line is low-maintenance, resistant to moisture and insects, and easier to install due to its hidden nailing hems. Royal WoodTone Styles offer the look of stained wood in six trending colors, including American Walnut, Oak Ridge, Natural Cedar, Smoke Grey, Weathered Oak and Charred Timber. The line features a 6-inch v-grooved plank, beadboard, crown and bed mould.

DuPont announced the launch of its latest addition to the company’s roofing underlayment product line: the Tyvek Protec PSU peel-and-stick underlayment, designed to provide high-temperature and UV resistance along with a slip-resistant walking surface and split liner for easy installation. Among its attributes, Tyvek Protec PSU also offers ICC-ES code report and achieved FL/Miami-Dade certification. The self-adhered Tyvek Protec PSU product is intended for critical areas of the roof, including eaves and valleys that are more susceptible to water leaks. The adhesive layer, composed of rubberized asphalt, is an additional sealant, offering protection at fasteners and nails compared to a mechanically attached sheet. The product also protects against water intrusion due to wind-driven rain and ice dams, allowing it to cater to different climates and regions.

Johns Manville announced the launch of its JM PVC SD Plus Fleeceback product line. Johns Manville will offer a 60mil and 80mil product in both a 76-inch as well as a 144-inch configuration, which can provide added labor savings with fewer welded seams. These new products will continue to use the same proven Johns Manville PVC SD Plus formulation customers trust while adding the durability and application flexibility of the Johns Manville fleeceback product offerings.
