RC Young Guns 2023 – The Sequel
Our feature highlighting the current and future leaders of the roofing industry continues, and RC hopes to broaden the field.
A few months ago, RC introduced the first half of this year’s Young Guns – roofing contractors age 40 and under that stood out for their contributions to their company despite their relatively young age. Now it’s time to recognize the second half.
In this edition of RC’s eMagazine, you’ll get a glimpse of some of the talented individuals in roofing that are looking to make a long-lasting impact in an industry they’re passionate about.
Fueled by a call-to-action on social media from regular RC contributors and attendees, RC gathered the largest group of Young Gun nominees to the 2022 Best of Success conference in Scottsdale, Ariz. Much like those featured previously, the five roofers RC honors this month are a unique mix of personalities that represent different regions of the country and roofing styles.

For a glimpse of what I mean, we’re featuring:
- A former collegiate football player who’s part of a fast-growing commercial roofing company tackling complex roof installations across the Northeast;
- A relatively late “convert” to the roofing industry from the West Coast who’s excelled at sales;
- A serial entrepreneur from Texas who’s already sold a roofing company and moved on to a second career in the industry;
- A natural leader who’s pioneering the successful residential division of one of the top commercial roofers in north Texas;
- A mother of three from Nashville that married into roofing and is marketing — and multi-tasking — her company to new heights.
They’re clearly driven individuals that play critical roles in their respective roofing operations, but the drive goes beyond business success. They each see a role they can play in the industry and have bought into the notion that they are part of something bigger. They also see the opportunity now to improve the roofing industry’s future as it continues to evolve quickly.
And we know they’re not alone. The next crop of Young Guns is out there hustling, working for their next opportunity, and it’s not just limited to roofing contractors. There is a lot of young talent in the distribution and manufacturing spaces in roofing, too, and their stories are worth telling. While we’ve featured young people making a difference in the industry who were not roofing contractors before, it’s been a while. I’d encourage anyone in those segments of the industry, as well as other business services that help contractors — like consultants, technology gurus or media specialists — to enter for consideration in an upcoming Young Guns feature.
