The International Roofing Expo returns to Las Vegas Jan. 20-22, and Roofing Contractor offers readers a sneak peek into what to expect
The International Roofing Expo is back in Las Vegas for back-to-back years from Jan. 20-22, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, West Hall.
North America's largest roofing and exteriors event will showcase the latest products and innovations in both residential and commercial sectors, becoming the ideal place for roofing contractors, executives, builders, vendors and industry professionals to build their respective businesses.
There’s also a full schedule of special events and initiatives underway for the roofing community to take advantage of and experience. Here’s a closer look:
IRE General Session: State of the Industry 2026
Breaking with the annual custom of hosting a speaker for a traditional keynote address, organizers of the 2026 International Roofing Expo opted for a different approach.
Industry leaders, including RC and its research partners, will instead provide a conversational breakdown of the most recent survey data used to build the annual State of the Industry Report. The event will kick off IRE 2026 activities at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 20, and lead right up to the opening of the show floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Trent Cotney, partner with Adams & Reese, and National Roofing Contractors Association CEO McKay Daniels will join Mitch Henderson, of myCLEARopinion Insights Hub, to provide exclusive insights into the latest trends highlighted by the survey responses. RC Publisher Jill Bloom and RC Editor-in-Chief Art Aisner will co-moderate and ask provocative questions that encourage the panel to share real-world experiences and anecdotes from roofing contractors they’re working with around the country.
Frequent IRE attendees are used to seeing RC’s delivery of the State of the Industry Report as a seminar session. But organizers this year wanted to elevate the presentation to the industry’s biggest stage and provide roofing contractors with information that not only enlightens but also offers solid solutions to stay ahead of the competition in 2026.
The topics include:
- Roofing’s multi-billion-dollar market projections
- Technology advancements reshaping our industry
- Workforce strategies that work
- Insurance standards and regulatory updates
- Shifts in customer expectations creating new profit opportunities.
“Our panel will do a deep dive into the compelling data points that reveal exciting opportunities and provide strategic understanding of industry projections for residential and commercial roofing through 2026 and beyond,” an IRE news release stated. “Beyond our engaging presentation of survey results, [roofers] will gain invaluable first-hand insights from leading industry experts who will share their perspectives on market performance and highlight the most promising opportunities to watch as we enter this new and dynamic era in the roofing industry.”
Space will be limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nearly 16,000 attendees gathered at the Las Vegas Convention Center in 2025 for the IRE.
Return Service
The roofing community will again give back to the IRE host city of Las Vegas as volunteers for the 17th Annual Community Service Day on Jan. 19. Starting at 7:30 a.m., dozens of volunteers from across the roofing industry will donate their time, smarts and skills to repair homes and improve the quality of life for residents in low-income neighborhoods near the city.
Partnering again with Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit geared toward helping homeowners in need, IRE organizers identified neighborhoods in the host city and are seeking to aid specific residents who otherwise couldn’t afford critical home improvements.
The event has become an annual tradition and a key pillar of any IRE experience for those in the roofing community who want to give back to the host city. Show attendees can sign up to volunteer while registering, and the volunteer registration fee of $35 includes transportation, breakfast, lunch and beverages.
“We are looking forward to our 17th Community Service Day and for the industry to show up again and help by giving back,” said Brandi McElhaney, show manager with Informa Markets, organizer of the annual event.
The full day of volunteering typically includes making significant home repairs for displaced residents, assisting with roof replacements, exterior maintenance and various renovations. If unable to volunteer in person, attendees can donate to Rebuilding Together during the registration process.
The primary sponsor of the event is Sika Sarnafil. Additional sponsors include GAF, which donates roofing materials for roof replacements; Roofing Contractor; Atlas; CentiMark; and Farrell Roofing, with more sponsors to be announced.
“Beyond our engaging presentation of survey results, [roofers] will gain invaluable first-hand insights from leading industry experts who will share their perspectives on market performance and highlight the most promising opportunities to watch as we enter this new and dynamic era in the roofing industry.”

SRS Foundation Concert: Country Time in the Desert
The roofing industry will celebrate country music at this year’s IRE. Award-winning country musician and singer/songwriter Parker McCollum will headline the annual SRS Foundation Concert on Jan. 21 at the Chelsea.
The up-and-coming Texan is known for his authentic, relatable sound that blends traditional country chords with modern musical elements, and he’s achieving stardom with a string of hits. Joining him are Chris Janson and Priscilla Block.
Doors open at 6 p.m., and all food and drinks are included. Proceeds from the event will help veterans of the U.S. military, first responders, disaster victims, and families in crisis around the country. The nonprofit SRS Raise the Roof Foundation was formed in 2012 as a way for SRS to give back to its communities, often championing causes like support for military veterans and disaster relief.
Always among the best attended private events at the IRE, this year’s concert will have much to live up to. Last year’s event, headlined by legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, raised more than $279,000 during the live auction, according to the organization’s annual report.
