Dubuque, Iowa-based Klauer Manufacturing Company unveiled its latest creation in the building construction field, the Cottage Wood shingle, crafted using heavy-gauge steel and durable, state-of-the-art finishes and coatings.
Klauer said the Cottage Wood shingle, manufactured with an A653 galvanized Kynar 500 finish, is guaranteed to “…retain its beauty and outperform competing materials,” adding that the product stands out in offering protection, savings and beauty.
“We work diligently with our suppliers to bring the best materials and new technology to all of our products, especially our shingles,” said Michael Igo, vice president of Klauer Manufacturing. “This innovative product is designed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of customers’ properties while providing excellent protection against the elements.”
Klauer’s Cottage Wood shingles are available in a palette of colors using the Dura Coat Product coating system with multiple options in the collection, including Snow White Sandalwood, Moccasin, Northern Woods, Terra Bronze, Winter Sage, Liberty Gray, Deep Ocean Blue, Brick Red, and Mocha.
Each color carries a fade and chalk resistance warranty to ensure they remain “vibrant” for decades.
The company said the composite material used in its construction is made from recycled materials, reducing the overall environmental impact of the product and underscoring the eco-friendly manufacturing practices Klauer values.

Colorado-based Rocky Mountain Snow Guards offers some of the most in-depth snow retention product selections for the roofing industry, including metal snow guards, snow fences and bar-style snow retention systems designed to protect people and property.
Snow guards are available at 5-inch, 7-inch, 10-inch, and 16-inch lengths. There are also Rocky Guard Narrow, Rocky Guard Wide, Rocky Guard Tile, and Rocky Guard Slate snow guards.
The SnowTrapper series of snow guards come in 6-inch, 9-inch, 11-inch, 16R-inch and 18-inch lengths. An ST Tile Hook and ST Tile Barb round out the product offerings. For corrugated steel roofs, the clip-style CorGard Snow Guard fastens through the top of the corrugation rather than through the bottom to reduce water “ponding,” eliminating the possibility of leaking around fasteners.
The new Yeti series of snow guards features a gusseted half-round design and comes in 6-inch, 9-inch, 11-inch and 18-inch versions. A Yeti Tile Hook is also available. Snow guards come in either coated or mill-finish aluminum (or powder-coated steel), with most having the option of being available in copper.
Clamp-to-Seam snow fence brackets include products in the Blizzard II, Blizzard Heavy Duty II, Blizzard Heavy Duty III, SnowCap I and II lines. Bolt-down snow fence bracket lines include Drift Corrugated I and II, No-Flash II and III, Single-Ply, Drift II and III.
The company’s newest product, Drift Solar Snow Fence System, is designed specifically for snow retention below solar panel installations on shingle roofs. The 12-inch tall, four-pipe aluminum Drift Solar snow retention system ensures no snow slips past the snow fence. It serves as a “catch basin” for snow. The system comes in Mill Finish Aluminum or Coated Aluminum.

The Trap-Tee symmetrical metal roofing system is a site-formed, mechanically-seamed system measuring 2-3/4 inches tall. Trap-Tee is designed to resolve the three major shortcomings of trapezoidal standing seam roof systems: leaking end laps, low wind-uplift capability and difficulty in repair.
Site forming eliminates end laps vulnerable to leaking over time. The oversized seam and special clips dramatically increase wind uplift capacity, and the symmetrical design allows for easy repair or alteration after the roof is installed. Standard clips are 16-gauge and 8 inches long, while Super Clips are 16-gauge and 16 inches long.
Offered with Sherwin-Williams PVDF Fluropon coating, the Trap-Tee has a life expectancy approaching 60 years, allowing for the ability to add curbs, vents, single-panel replacement and even building additions. Rectangular metal buildings and tilt-up warehousing are the best candidates for the Trap-Tee panel in both ‘remove and replace’ as well as ‘recover’ projects.

VaproShield has unveiled BlockShield SA Plus for roofs, a self-adhered air, water and vapor barrier underlayment. BlockShield SA Plus is made from a "proprietary, high-strength polypropylene sheet with a very aggressive adhesive layer" that bonds to virtually all deck types. For use in both commercial and residential construction, BlockShield SA Plus creates a barrier against vapor and air infiltration. BlockShield SA Plus features no red-list chemicals, has zero VOCs, and contains 18 to 20% post-industrial recycled content. It is compatible with OSB, plywood, gypsum and concrete.* BlockShield SA Plus does not require a primer for installation. It has a six-month UV and weather exposure and can be applied at temperatures as low as 20 degrees Fahrenheit (-6 degrees Celsius).

The Carbo-Tec FLX collection features square-toe, waterproof full-grain leather silhouettes with Georgia Boot’s groundbreaking AMP [Advanced Memory Polyurethane] insole and a new FLX-FIT Technology on the shaft of the boot, a 3D-molded elastic detail that allows for effortless expansion for easy on and off. The GB00621 and GB00622 are alloyed with pull-holes. The GB00620 is also a pull-on boot with a squared, soft toe. Rounding out the collection is a lace-up, soft-toed boot, the GB00623.

Duro-Last announced the expansion of its EV membrane solutions by adding Duro-Last EV 80 mil and Duro-Last EV Fleece. Duro-Last EV is a Ketone Ethylene Ester-containing membrane using Elvaloy from Dow. Offering flexibility and weld-ability in low temperatures, Duro-Last EV is available in 50-, 60- and now 80-mil thickness options. With expanded EV membrane options, Duro-Last EV Fleece combines “high-quality fleece material on the underside of the membrane with the proven performance of the Duro-Last EV roofing membrane.” The product is compatible with various substrates; the company touted its utility for adhered and mechanically fastened low-slope roofing projects requiring long-lasting, energy-efficient membranes. Duro-Last EV Fleece is available in 60- and 80-mil thicknesses.
