Martin Solar announced that its Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount, a solar attachment system, exceeded industry-standard mechanical testing benchmarks conducted by CSA Group, validating its structural durability under extreme conditions. The mount was tested in uplift scenarios using Unirac rails and panel clamps, achieving a load resistance up to six times greater than the baseline UL 2703 requirement, which already includes a 1.5 times safety factor. During testing, the Hidden-Fastener Solar Mount system exhibited gradual deformation, starting at a total load of 2,673 pounds. Final failure occurred at 3,500 pounds. The system features a leak-proof attachment method that secures below the shingles at the traditional nail strip — eliminating the need for surface-penetrating fasteners.

Cross-section of a labeled roof assembly: Deck, Polyiso, ADVANC-R, Membrane.
Designed for high-performance building demands, ADVANC-R delivers an R-Value of 66 in a thin profile at 0.94-inch thickness — redefining how architects and specifiers approach low-slope roofing insulation. Panasonic said ADVANC-R is engineered to help building professionals meet — and exceed — strict energy efficiency standards while preserving valuable roof height and interior volume. Its ultra-high R-value of 66 makes it ideal for retrofit and reroofing projects with height limitations. It features a space-saving design, is certified by Intertek ETL and Factory Mutual (FM), and is listed in MasterSpec for simplified specification.

Two white industrial cylinders labeled "H.B. Fuller Millennium PG-1 EF ECO₂".
H.B. Fuller announced the launch of Millennium PG-1 EF ECO2, a roofing adhesive that eliminates the need for chemical blowing agents by using naturally occurring atmospheric gases. This blend of gases, known as ECO2 Driven technology, operates without the use of high Global Warming Potential propellants or Hydrofluoroolefins, thereby reducing the environmental impact of dispensing the adhesive without compromising adhesion strength. Designed to meet or exceed current North American environmental standards and align with emerging global regulations for commercial roofing, Millennium PG-1 EF ECO2 is easy to use while supporting sustainability goals. Canister-based adhesives can help reduce job site waste, as canisters offer a significant coverage area per unit and, when properly emptied, can be recycled depending on local regulations.

COASTALUME™ 8-color swatches with names for building construction.
DuPont and U.S. Steel announced the launch of COASTALUME, a specialized steel solution designed for optimal performance in coastal environments, just over a year ago. The product has garnered interest among roofers facing challenges in sourcing materials suitable for the most demanding conditions, particularly in hurricane and fire-prone coastal regions. The product line is now set to expand its color palette, introducing three core colors: Dawn Gray, Matte Black, and Dark Bronze, which can be found on roofs from Florida to California and even Missouri. In response to the market needs, DuPont Tedlar and U.S. Steel have expanded the color palette to include crisp whites, warm browns, and peaceful blues. COASTALUME is manufactured in the United States and is designed to withstand hurricane-force winds. It offers industry-leading warranties on both its steel substrate and Tedlar finish.

Two rolls of Polyglass Polystrip™ SA roof deck joint tape with packaging box.
Polyglass U.S.A., Inc. announced the launch of Polystrip SA, a new non-reinforced, self-adhered roof deck joint tape designed to seal wood deck seams and help roofing contractors meet the latest building code requirements. Polystrip SA provides a water-tight seal to roof deck joints, delivering a secondary water barrier against moisture infiltration caused by wind-driven rain, ice dams, and other severe weather when the roof covering or underlayment may be compromised. The product meets ASTM D1970 standards and is approved for use under Florida and Connecticut building codes, where a self-adhering strip is specified. The product is UV-resistant for up to 60 days and temperature-stable up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. It is compatible with Polystick and Polyanchor underlayments and doubles as a general flashing membrane.

Gloved hands peeling green film from a white surface, revealing its cleanliness against a dirty floor.
GAF has launched MembraneShield Temporary Dirt-Blocking Film, a new feature for EverGuard TPO membranes designed to keep them clean during installation. Factory-applied to specially marked EverGuard TPO membranes, this monolayer protective sheet helps keep the TPO clean during installation, protecting new membranes from dirt, footprints, equipment tracks, and wind-blown debris. Applied at the factory and designed to remain in place for up to 90 days during construction, it substantially reduces after-installation cleaning labor while preserving the aesthetic impact of visible roofs. When the job is complete, contractors simply peel off the protective film to reveal a pristine TPO surface underneath. Available on EverGuard TPO 60 mil and 80 mil smooth and EverGuard Fleece-back 60 mil membranes.

MFM Building Products introduces its new 48-inch Wind & Water Seal self-adhering roofing underlayment. The new product is composed of an embedded traction surface adhered to a high-temperature adhesive rated to 250 degrees Fahrenheit for use under metal roofing systems. Acting as an ice and water barrier, the 48-inch width eliminates the need to double layer along roof edges in some applications. Self-adhering and self-sealing around fasteners, the product is ideal for use along roof edges, eaves, valleys, and as a whole roof covering for secondary water protection. The product comes in a 48-inch by 50-foot roll size (200 square feet) and is packaged 30 cartons per pallet. Manufactured in the United States, Wind & Water Seal comes with a 10-year limited warranty.

Layered roof construction: membrane, insulation, and metal deck.
Duro-Last announced the expansion of its commercial roofing solutions with the launch of Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece TPO membrane product lines. Both Duro-TECH and Duro-TECH Fleece membranes feature Duro-Last’s exclusive anti-wicking, weft-inserted scrim with a density of 9 by 9 threads per inch — an industry-first for TPO membranes — eliminating the need for seam sealant during installation. This feature enhances installation efficiency, saving contractors time and reducing material costs while delivering watertight performance and durability. Additionally, each Duro-TECH membrane offers the most robust top film thickness in the industry — creating a resilient performance layer that stands up to the elements.
