DuraPlan EcoSet Green • Bitec
Bitec has released DuraPlan EcoSet Green adhesive, reported to be the roofing industry’s first ultra-low-solvent adhesive designed specifically for cold-process APP-modified bitumen roof systems with slopes up to 3:12. The company says the adhesive is “…very low odor with less than 25 g/L VOCs, and can be used to construct single or multiple plies of Bitec-approved base sheets and cap sheets or as a flood coat in cold-process applications.” The moisture-cured, asphalt-free adhesive is suited to schools, hospitals, and other odor-sensitive projects requiring cold application of a long-lasting, durable APP roof system. Its ultra-low-solvent formulation helps reduce the overall carbon footprint of the roofing assembly.

Updated Packaging • APOC Products
APOC roofing and waterproofing products will get an exterior makeover across all product lines this spring that aims to deliver a more uniform experience to customers, calling attention to features and benefits while minimizing confusion, according to a statement released by the company. Newly designed front panels with large product numbers and simplified descriptions should make APOC-branded items easily distinguishable from competitors — and one another — on the shelves. When revamping the packaging, the team made the label components more recognizable and focused on educating applicators. All featured graphics now include corresponding Spanish translations, and the color and number of coats required for each product to perform are called out.
