Murton Roofing located in Miami went up to Charleston, South Carolina and became one of the largest companies in South Carolina during Hurricane Hugo and was instrumental in getting the school board open, drying in 34 schools and reroofing 27 schools. Also working with the South Carolina Ports Authority and Charleston Naval Base. Then Hurricane Andrew hit in Murton Roofing's backyard. They were the major roofing company in getting the school board reopened doing emergency dry-ins and major reroofs. They worked with Miami International Airport and Miami Dade Community College South Campus. These are fascinating stories on work done during two major Hurricanes 30 years ago.
